About Patricia L Shaw, MA LMFT
I am Patricia (Patti) L. Shaw, and I have been fortunate enough to counsel individuals and families for over 19 years in Shasta County. I have experienced the best and worst of our collective human condition working in Child Protective Services and Foster Care. While it has not always been easy, I can genuinely say that it has challenged me to grow as a person and has enriched my life. Trauma work has become my passion. I am an EMDR and Brainspotting Trained Therapist (Level I, II, III).
As part of my commitment to the health of the community, I train Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who are ethical and pursuing specialized training.
I have experienced difficulties in life and have benefited from the help and grace of others. I understand what it is like to live amid the seeming unending suffering in our community: and I know personally that it is possible to regain health and wellness. I am committed to helping others transform their lives and reclaim hope, happiness, and health.
